What is the best eye drops for allergies
Betaxolol is a beta-blocker that reduces pressure inside the eye.
Betoptic S (for the eyes) is used to treat open-angle glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye.
Betoptic S may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

What happens if I miss a dose?
Use the missed dose as soon as you remember.
Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not use additional medicine to make up the missed dose.
How should I use Betoptic S?
Follow every directions on your prescription label. Do not use Betoptic S in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
The usual dose of this medicine is 1 drop into the affected eye 2 times per day.
Follow your doctor’s dosing instructions extremely carefully.
Shake the eyedrops well just before using them.
Do not use this medicine while wearing contact lenses. Betoptic S may contain a preservative that can discolor soft contact lenses. Wait at least 15 minutes after using this medicine before putting in your contact lenses.
Wash your hands before using the eye drops.
To apply the eye drops:
Tilt your head back slightly and tug below your lower eyelid to create a little pocket.
Hold the dropper above the eye with the tip below. Glance up and away from the dropper and squeeze out a drop.
Close your eyes for 2 or 3 minutes with your head tipped below, without blinking or squinting.
Gently press your finger to the inside corner of the eye for about 1 minute, to hold the liquid from draining into your tear duct.
Use only the number of drops your doctor has prescribed. If you use more than one drop, wait about 5 minutes between drops.
Wait at least 10 minutes before using any other eye drops your doctor has prescribed.
Do not touch the tip of the eye dropper or put it directly on your eye. A contaminated dropper can infect your eye, which could lead to serious vision problems.
Do not use the eye drops if the liquid has changed colors or has particles in it.
Call your pharmacist for new medicine.
Tell your doctor correct away if you own any eye injury or eye infection.
If you need surgery, including eye surgery, tell the surgeon ahead of time that you are using Betoptic S. You may need to stop using the medicine for a short time.
Store in an upright position at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.
Do not freeze. Hold the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
Before taking this medicine
You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to betaxolol, or if you have:
a serious heart condition such as «sick sinus syndrome» or «AV block» (2nd or 3rd degree);
severe heart failure; or
a history of slow heartbeats that own caused you to faint.
To make certain Betoptic S is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have:
It is not known whether this medicine will harm an unborn baby.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
It is not known whether betaxolol ophthalmic passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.
You should not use Betoptic S if you own a serious heart condition or slow heartbeats.
